Massage Therapy
This modality is based on the general benefits of manipulating soft tissues. which is to help relieve pain, reduce stress, and improve function. This modality incorporates a variety of techniques from deep tissue, sports, swedish, myofascial release treatment, neuromuscular therapy, prenatal/postnatal, pediatric, to geriatric massages.
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissues. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep tissue treats particular musculoskeletal disorders and complaints that, release toxins and deeply held patterns of tension.
This special form of massage is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. Depending on the needs of the athlete, a variety of techniques are used including classic Swedish strokes, cross-fiber friction, pressure-point work, and joint mobilization. The purpose can range from preparing athletes for peak performance, relieving swelling, reducing muscle tension, promoting flexibility, to preventing injuries.
Swedish massage includes long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, and shaking motions. It is effective for most ailments, because massaging the skin, the body's largest organ, sets up a chain reaction that produces a positive effect on all layers and systems of the body. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, promoting health and well being.
Myofascial Release works by the manipulation of the fascia that connects and surrounds muscles. Because the fascia is body-wide, a tension or trauma in one part of the body can affect another part. The fascia responds to a trained touch to release the adverse effects of inflammation, tensions, and trauma
Neuromuscular Therapy is a program of recovery from acute and chronic pain syndromes by utilizing specific massage therapy, including the pressure of trigger points, to eliminate the causes of pain patterns. It enhances the function of joints, muscles, and movement, and it releases endorphin, the body's own natural pain killers.
Pre and Postpartum bodywork is an effective holistic approach for the many adjustments to motherhood. Unique postpartum benefits include hormone regulation, reduced swelling, better sleep and improved breastfeeding. More advanced therapy helps restore your body to its pre-pregnancy condition, speeds healing and assists with C-section recovery. Newborns are welcome. We support the little visitor, however we recommend mothers schedule during newborns typical naptime routine.

OrthoPedic Manual Therapy
Orthopedic manual therapy is structured rehabilitation for specific areas of injury. A 30 minute therapeutic assessment is mandatory before treatment to for evaluation. Treatment incorporates manipulation and movement of soft tissues to reduce pain and dysfunction. In addition to. restoring structural balance for prevention of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Examples of orthopedic dysfunction include sprains, plantar fascitis, tennis elbow, rotator cuff tear, carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, and more.

MEDICAL THERAPY
Medical Massage therapy is performed under the auspices of a physician. Prescription based massage therapy treats specific problems that has been assessed, evaluated, and diagnosed by a physician. A prescription must include three specific conditions:
1) It must state that "massage therapy is medically necessary".
2)It must state the diagnosis code 97140
3)It must state the frequency and duration of treatments to be performed
a)Ideally, to make and maintain progress, treatments are 2-3 times a week for a minimum of 4 weeks
